What genres do you think are dead?

Also: what films do you think have resurrected previously-dead genres? To me La La Land has just pulled a Dr. Frankenstein on the Hollywood musical, and Noah is the closest Hollywood has come to matching the scale of a biblical epic.

One genre I think is pretty dead is the creature feature. The western seems to be on a resurgence, although I kinda feel that it's similar to the treatment of the noir genre - like westerns (just as noirs did) have influenced movies so greatly that new movies in the genre are more self-aware, neo-westerns (just like neo-noirs) so to speak
