I finally saw It's A Wonderful Life and it was exactly what I needed

It was incredible. I can definitely understand why it is so popular. Jimmy Stewart's best performance by far. I struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past and this movie put a giant smile on my face. I should've seen it much sooner, it would've really helped fill me with a sense of purpose. It's also less of a Christmas movie than I expected. It takes place on Christmas Eve but that's about it, so now that I know it's a feel good film for any time of the year, I'll probably be watching it several times in the next few years.
