We are the crew of the 2015 short film The Space Between Us that has recently been compared to Guillermo del Toro’s oscar nominated “The Shape of Water”. Ask us anything!

We are the crew of the 2015 Dutch short "The Space Between us". The film was the graduation project of our 4 year curriculum at the Dutch Film Academy and was unique not only for us but for the Academy in general because of the heavy involvement of VFX. The development of the film started towards the end of our 3rd year, and after a year of hard work we delivered the 13 minute short which you can watch here.

Proof

Recently our film has stirred up some controversy due to the similarities with Guillermo del Toro’s oscar nominated film "The Shape of Water". We have been in touch with him and had a constructive discussion about the inception of both our films. We reached the conclusion that there seems to be no connection between the two.

The film Academy (rights holder of the film) has released an official statement regarding the subject, which can be found here. Nonetheless we are very excited to hear your opinions and answer any questions you have.
