What are the worst acting performances to get nominated for an Oscar?

Continuing into awards season, we come to acting. Sometimes we get absolutely floored by the work that an actor can do with all the material in front of them and their nomination is more than deserved - and other times we just wonder how anybody with eyes could enjoy their work, let alone get them to the Oscars. What's therefore the worst performance to get nominated, or even win, an Oscar?
