What movie have you loved, recommended to your parents, only to have them watch it and hate it?

When I saw La La Land last year I loved it. I recommended for my mum and dad to watch it. My mum not being a big musical fan kept putting it off and my dad just kinda goes with the flow even though he loves musicals.

Fast forward one year and they both watched it last night. They both strongly disliked it. I didn’t ask for an in depth review but from what I could tell they thought it was cheesy and naff!

So, what movie have you loved, recommended to your parents, only to have them watch it and hate it?
