Regarding the Jurassic World sequel: why is Claire not in jail?

In the movie this woman is directly responsible for the death of hundreds (thousands?) of people in Jurassic World and also responsible for the total destruction of the park. There is absolutely no way she’s escape charges in real life.

Separately: she’s not even a character you can root for after that. Shes not a hero. She’s not a love interest. She’s a fucking terrible human being.

Why is she roaming about and fully participating in the movie trailer for the sequel? There is no excusing any of the above. It’s insulting to the audience to expect us to.

Will any members of the press have the balls to ask Colin Trevorrow this question?

Edit: to the butthurt people (or PR people) downvoting this, why don’t you explain your rationale in the comments? Would love to know how you justify her as a protagonist in the sequel.
