How can people not believe in Santa in Christmas movies where he exists?

If Santa is real and delivers presents to every house on Christmas Eve, then where do all the nonbelievers think those gifts come from?

This is a plot hole that’s been driving me nuts since I was a kid and I’m surprised no film has ever even attempted to address it. I started thinking about it again while watching The Christmas Chronicles.
