Movies where new technology is introduced, only to be forgotten by the end.

For example in The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce walks with a cane and discovers he has no cartilidge in his knees. He straps on a Wayne-tech limb enhancer that allows him to kick through a brick pillar. This invention is never mentioned again. Why not create a whole suit with body augments to enhance his strength and reduce wear and tear on his muscles and bone?
