Godzilla KOTM Was Awesome.

So I finally saw it and wow what a fun movie.

First I’m surprised at how close they remain to the original material even the silly bit like Ghidorah being an alien or Mothra Godzilla being an item or oxygen destroyer almost killing Godzilla. On top of that they had their respective themes which was just a pure delight epically with already solid original score.

Second, Kaiju action. Holy shit we get 3 Godzilla Ghidorah fights including one totally massive one in the third act with Rodan and Mothra involved. Speaking of Rodan we also get a Rodan vs Ghidorah AERIAL fucking fight that is preceded by an incredible army takedown by Rodan ( the choreography of that action set piece was glorious by the way)

With so many people whining about too much human you would think this movie was devoid of action. So I really don’t get that complaint.

Third, speaking of humans, while Godzilla 2014 had lot of human but with uninteresting stories and played by people without charisma and Kong had minimal humans i though this one was the perfect balance. I actually cared for the family outcome and to see if they were gonna overcome the death of their child, also Ken Watanabe’s sacrifice was one of the best quite moment of the movie. It’s just really puzzle me how people constantly keep giving passes to the mediocrity from capekinos then turn around and demand Hamlet from a Godzilla movie. Like I don’t see how a movie like Captain Marvel is deemed better than this.

All in this movie was a damn good time. Even to casual fans of the franchise the love can be seen with all the hints and homage and in termOf entertainment a bombastic spectacle that may look repetitive because of the color grading but where each set pieces is eventually its own thing with well crafted choreography.
