"Annihilation" (2018) is the first movie in a long time to have left me so unsettled.

I... well, honestly don't know how else to feel but terrified and unsettled. Some of the scenes still stick with me. I think the idea is very good, the visuals were stunning, and I bought every second of acting. Mind blown.

I still have so many questions that can't be answered and still throw around a lot of ideas in the film. I own an agricultural business that has a lot of genetics and culture work involved, and since I've seen the movie I can't help but occasionally think about it when working.

I haven't had a movie twist my gut and my brain like this in a very long time (if ever).

Highly recommend, but there are parts that are terrifying. I had a nightmare the other night that was very close to this film, and jeez, watching it was hard enough at some points but living it in a dream was a whole new level of horror.
