Holes (2003) is a precious movie

I love this movie. It’s one of the few book-to-movie adaptations that accurately (or as accurate as it can be) represent how I imagined it.

Shia LaBeouf, Sigourney Weaver, Jon Voight, Patricia Arquette and the rest of the cast were fantastic as their respective characters.

Sure, the lizard vfx are a bit dated, but overall the movie still holds up really well. The passion that was poured into the production and creation of this movie is palpable. It has such a beautiful energy that just makes me happy when I watch it.

If you haven’t seen this movie, give it a try. It’s not too bad.
