I watched "The Shawshank Redemption" for the first time in my life last night.

My God... what an amazing movie. I can't really even begin to describe what I enjoyed about it. I was supposed to be taking a nap before work, but the opening ten minutes grabbed me and reeled me in like a fish. The scene where Brooks goes crazy because he is granted parole and hangs himself... I've never been to prison in my life but that really touched me. Incredibly emotional. And of course I recognized Clancy Brown right away.

Just a wonderful experience. I haven't enjoyed immersing myself into a film like that in quite a long time.
