America makes movies in English that take place in non-english countries. Are there non-english movies about America?

For instance, if France or Japan wanted to make a movie about the American civil war, and it was in french or japanese, I feel like it wouldnt work. But America makes films about the French Revolution or other events that take place in other countries, and it’s fine. Are there any movies that are non-english about American events?

Edit: I know a lot of countries don’t like that America does this. How does your country view it?

Edit 2: Not dubbed movies! Movies that originally come from a studio that doesnt speak the language of the subject they are filming about (ex: German-language and actor movie about Egypt, or a French-language and actor movie about Australia.)
