What is your top 5 movies of the year?

My personal top 5 would be

1) The Lighthouse

Deeply unsettling and disturbing, I absolutely love the way this movie is shot and the two leads are absolutely outstanding

2) The Irishman

Subversive and powerful, the last fourth of this movie will stick with me for ages as some of the best filmmaking and acting of the year

3) Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood

Very fun and entertaining, though a bit too long, there is a lot to like about Tarantino’s 9th movie, like the chemistry between Brad Pitt and Leo

4) Joker

Dark and unsettling, Joaquin Phoenix shines in this well written and beautifully shot tragedy

5) Knives Out

Extremely clever and fun, well shot and acted, this is a movie I can watch over and over and over again
