Is Willem Dafoe the most diverse actor of a generation?

I've just watched 'The Lighthouse' and Willem Dafoe just blew me away with his performance, with that it got me looking at his filmography and the dude has been and tried everything, he is constantly pushing himself and trying new things. Obviously some of the movies he's been in are duds but never because of him. Honestly I'm surprised more people don't bring his name up when they're talking about greatest actors alive.
