Anyone else actually love Avatar? (James Cameron's)

Obviously people liked it enough to make it the highest grossing movie for over a decade. But it seems like Avatar is the butt of many jokes and lots of ridicule, especially as time has gone on. Every article I see discussing about the sequels, everyone is just crapping on them lol. No presence in pop culture. No fond memories. I'm actually quite excited for the sequels myself.

Yes there is legitimate criticism of the film (Dances with Wolves/Ferngully, some dialogue, cliche tropes, etc.). But that's kind of all of James' movies. Overall I think it's still an awesome achievement. The CGI holds up incredibly well today, much better than a lot of modern stuff. The world building. The sense of scale that Cameron does best. The music (RIP James Horner, sad he won't be a part of the sequels). And just one of the best escapist movie going experiences ever.

Anyone else still love Avatar? *cue downvotes*
