Anyone else a bit disappointed that we never got an 'Odyssey' retelling starring Sean Bean?

For those unaware, Sean Bean played Odysseus in Troy (2004), the retelling of Homer's Iliad.

I think a miniseries would be a perfect medium for the story, rather than a really long film. Sean Bean is 61, but I still think he'd play a great Odysseus (I think I read somewhere that Odysseus is around 45-50 years old by the time he gets home).

Anyone else longing for a good old Greek epic with the Bean?
