Movie trends no one remembers

I remember 2 from around 2011-2012 that no one else talks about:

1. That period that lasted from 2011-2012 where The Lion King's 3D re-release went well and every studio tried releasing their classics in 3D but no one went to see them. By 2013, that trend was completely dead.
2. That trend where every big pop star around the time (Justin Bieber, One Direction, Katy Perry, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, etc.) got their own documentary. This I think lasted about 5 years, I wanna say, from 2008-2013, but no one talks about these films. The only one that's had any pop culture impact is Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping, which is a parody of these movies. Hell the only one of these movies I've ever seen even air on TV is the Katy Perry one.
