The Road to El Dorado (2000), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) and Treasure Planet (2002) are a perfect "Trilogy" of great Adventure box-office flops.

All three are animated movies focused on the protagonist(s) embarking on a great adventure and discovering some lost world. All had an great cast, great soundtrack, great visual effects, heartfelt message...and all flopped in the box office.

I really love these 3, and I feel they represent a great period of animation when studios were taking more chances with unusual projects. People really don't talk about them enough.
