Krull (1983) is a fucking awesome sci-fi movie.

It’s a weird story, played by weird actors, weirdly. The main character is one-dimensional and unlikeable. The special effects are laughably bad. The fight scenes look like first takes. There’s so much wrong with this movie.

But you have absolutely no idea where it’s gonna go, and the longer the movie goes on, the more you want to know what happens. Medieval knights vs aliens with laser guns, quicksand, a polite and eloquent cyclops, Liam Neeson as a lumberjack pirate, doors with spikes that close on people...

Watch this movie, you won’t regret it.
