Anyone else enjoy 'The MEG'?

I must admit, I put off watching this movie based on it's bad IMDB score, which I believe is about 5.6. Some of the reviews on there have gone to town, proper hate for it.

However, I decided to give it a go today, I enjoy water movies... and sharks.. so at least that's something.

To my surprise, I thought it was really good! The effects of the shark and underwater action scenes were spot on. It was entertaining throughout.

Sometimes a good ol' action movie with some funny bits in is all that is needed, this was the norm back in the 90s/00s.

Some people expect very high standards on all aspects of movies too much these days. You can tell a lot of work went into the flic, which viewers don't take into consideration.

Well that's my thoughts anyway :)
