Accidental Genre

My favorite accidental genre of movies is movies that took place in the future at the time of their release but are now technically set in the past since that future has come and gone. My three favorite examples of this are as follows:

Blade Runner (came out in 1982 and took place in 2019)

Transformers: the Movie (not the Michael Bay one, the Nelson Shin one. Came out in 1986 and took place in 2005)

Predator 2 (came out in 1990 and took place in 1997)
