Knives Out (2019) Chris Evans casting choice

If you haven't seen this movie I would recommend not reading this post.

I decided to rewatch the movie and I had a thought pop into my head. Although I read an article saying Chris Evans practically begged for the role, i'm thinking Rian Johnson chose Chris Evans to play Ransom because of him coming from the long time role of Captain America, and the inherent trust people had in him at that point.

A huge part of the movie depends on people trusting Ransom after he was shown to be an untrustworthy character, and having a very trustworthy actor in that role surely helped.
