Movies with smart bad guys?

What are some movies you'd recommend where the bad guys are actually smart? By that I mean they actually have good aim, attack the protagonist all at once, use common sense, or in general just kind of avoid the clichés that a majority of cannon fodder bad guys seem to follow. I've not seen many films where these supposedly highly trained mercenary/bodyguard type characters actually act like highly trained mercenaries/bodyguards.
