What do you think about Falling Down (1993)?

I watched it this morning for the first time and it was great. Great performances from Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall. Joel Schumacher doing his thang, being a fucking top notch director. Some parts were a bit "movie-like", like when Prendergast confronts D-Fens at the end. What did y'all think about the commentary? Stuff about not being "economically viable" and the plastic surgeon living in luxury while the defence dude is paid peanuts? The whole "The American Dream is a lie" shabang. I'm waffling a bit but I don't know how to elongate such a basic question.
