Is Tom Hanks’s 1992-2002 the greatest decade any actor has ever had?

1992 - a league of their own

1993 - sleepless in Seattle and Philadelphia

1994 - Forrest Gump

1995 - Apollo 13 and Toy Story

1996 - wrote, directed, and starred in that thing you do!

1998 - saving private Ryan and you’ve got mail

1999 - toy story 2 and the green mile

2000 - castaway

2001 - produced band of brothers

2002 - road to perdition, catch me if you can, produced my big fat Greek wedding

Except for that thing you do! (Which was a passion project that hanks wrote, directed, and starred in), every other movie he was in was either critically acclaimed (2 Oscars and 2 other noms), or was a smashing box office success, or was both. He also produced a massively successful movie in my big fat Greek wedding. And produced band of brothers, a very successful show.
