Whats the saddest animal death in a film?

I think it’s Sam from I Am Legend. I mean she was literally the ONLY thing he had left. Also having to kill your own dog because its trying to kill you goes against the very nature of man’s best friend. I think it also might be because I used to have a German Shepherd and I lost her to a similar situation. It's just all kinds of sad.
