Best and worst McGuffins?

McGuffins can be implemented sloppily and beautifully.

The entire Star Wars sequel Trilogy is built on McGuffins where they need to find the map to find the box to find the translator to find... Something, I lost track. Last Jedi at least had no McGuffins.

And there is the special wand in Harry Potter, where Harry triumphs not because of anything he learned or any life skills over right movies, but because... he found the right Macguffin wand.

But for all the bad, there are plenty of good McGuffins.

The One Ring has backstory and a character of its own, making it far more complex than the average McGuffins, but it kind of qualifies.

If not, I'll nominate the plant in WALL-E.
