Basically what the title says. The Ryan Reynolds film “Free Guy” is basically a live action “The Lego Movie”.

Guy and Emmet are basically the exact same character. Both meek guys on autopilot in a preprogrammed world. It feels almost beat to beat the same, with similar jokes and even the male and female leads looking and acting the same.

They also both have a story in the real world outside of the main story’s universe that threatens their existence.
