Movies that were overshadowed because another great film came out at the same time?

Whether it be at the box office, in the cultural zeitgeist, at awards shows, etc., sometimes great movies are left empty-handed because another great movie is getting the attention.

I couldn’t believe There Will Be Blood (2007) didn’t win best picture, but seeing that’s the year No Country for Old Men won, it makes sense. It just sucks bc I think TWBB is an all-time great along with No Country.

Blade Runner and The Thing got completely forgotten by moviegoers in 1982 bc E.T. was dominating the box office. Both films also faired quite poorly with critics at the time.
