the last Duel is Ridley Scott's best film since American Gangster.

the film is a phenomenal example of slow build storytelling and excellent well fleshed out characters with excellent acting. it is absolutely a female trying to navigate herself through the middle ages it's about the perception of people and the importance of the truth. the third act of this film is phenomenal when Adam driver won't admit to raping jodies character because he secretly loved her and in his view didn't view the rape as rape but love and or he was lying to himself about the horrible act he did but the screenplay is airtight. this is easily Scott's best film since American Gangster.
