What were some amazing concepts wasted on rubbish movies?

I just had this random thought and feel like theres a bunch of movies like this and i simply can’t name them exactly. What movie(s) do you think fit this category completely? As a bonus, if you happen to know movies that are the complete opposite of the question and lesser known what are they? Only lesser known since I feel theres a few great already popular movies with good concepts as is
