Boogie Nights Mom

I’m sure this is a question that has been asked time and time again, but what is up with Mark Wahlberg’s mom in Boogie Nights?

She gave me weird vibes the way she interacted with Mark and seemed hyper focused on Mark’s sex life and it almost came off as jealousy or something more. And when they had their big fight, the camera cuts to the dad sitting in bed, staring off and listening to them fight in the next room. So that implies their sex life and relationship has been terrible for a long time.

Then when Mark grabs her screaming and slams her against the wall in rage, she kinda had this look of shock but also excitement.

I dunno, I think there was definitely something weird going on with the mom.
