What’s a movie where an actor came on board last minute and nailed the role?

Basically what the title says. I recently read that when the movie ‘Panic Room’ went into production Nicole Kidman was cast in the lead role and like two weeks before production she got injured and had to back out and Jodi Foster came in last minute and I think she does really well in that film.

So I was wondering what are some examples of similar situations?
