Have you seen a 'tough guy' or other type of role in movies who initially you thought 'I'm not sure about this' but the actor and performance changed your mind?

For me, it's Bob Odenkirk in Nobody.

I wasn't completely flabbergasted at the idea that he could kick ass on film, but he's obviously not a typical looking tough guy type. But god damn did he knock it out of the park. The gritty fight style. The attitude, the anger. The realistic concept that he actually gets hurt during fights instead of The Rock/Vin Diesel/Statham being so insecure with themselves that contractually, they can't ever even come close to losing a fight.

It was perfect. The performance was perfect and Bob Odenkirk was 10/10 in that movie.
