What Film Are You Surprised Didn't Get A Sequel?

As we all know, Hollywood has no issues producing sequels...even for films that, honestly have no business having a sequel (or 2 or 3). While I'm certainly not saying every film NEEDS a follow up, I'm actually surprised certain movies didn't get a second outing.

With that being said, what are some films that you expected to receive a sequel. Whether by virtue of the box office success or narrative...a film that seemed ripe for a continuation but it never happened (Not necessarily talking about remakes, but true sequels)

For me, I'd say:

Arachnophobia - It was a box office success. A fun horror comedy, it seemed like a concept that would've received a sequel.

Uncle Buck - Another big hit. One could've easily imagine a second outing with Uncle Buck (on a vacation, maybe an international trip). If Home Alone could get a sequel, essentially using the same blueprint as the original, Uncle Buck had the opportunity to expand on the first film.

Gremlins 3 - The second film was a success (and built on the first)...surprised there wasn't a 3rd film.
