Which actors have been mistreated by media or fans and deserved better?

As many of you recall, some years ago Katherine Heigl was critical of Apatow after she starred in one of his movies, Knocked-Up. She said the film was a bit sexist and "paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys." Though some people (mostly women I spoke to) sided with her, there was a lot of backlash. And though I'm not really a fan of her, nevertheless I feel she deserved better. And what she was saying was not too far off the truth.

Are there celebs that you feel have not been treated well by media or fans, either generally or in relation to a particular thing they did or said?
