Actors refusing awful dialog

Hello, I watch a lot of b movies, made for TV movies, hallmark, lifetime.. I love it all. I am wondering if actors are allowed to reject certain dialog if it's absolutely ridiculous. There have been times where I am like: no one talks like that or wow that was so cringe and lame. Do actors step in and say, Ok my character would not say that? And does it get ignored?
