A brilliant little detail I noticed in "The Incredibles"

The island where most of the plot takes place is "Nomanisan." So, "Nomanisan Island" -- "No man is an island." This is a reference to John Donne's famous poem, which contains the line "never send to know for whom the bell tolls / It tolls for thee."
It's a poem about how people need each other, and how the loss of one person is a blow to everyone else. This is a major theme of the movie: Mr. Incredible fails when he tries to "go it alone," but when he's united with his family, he's a true superhero again.
