Hi /r/movies, I'm Kevin Burke - Director and Editor of "24x36: A Movie About Movie Posters", a feature length doc about the history of illustration in movie poster art, out today. AMA

Hi Guys,

I'm Kevin, from Toronto. End of last year I finished this documentary about the history and evolution of illustration in movie poster art. We premiered at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX and have just released the film on iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play and BluRay/DVD. It's my first film so it's pretty exciting to see it charting in docs on iTunes. Thanks to any of you who've checked it out already.

The film is a truly independent doc production and took me a few years to string together - partly because I was learning After Effects to develop some of the animation in the film. We ended up partnering with Snowfort Pictures (Jodorowsky's Dune) to complete production and FilmRise and Raven Banner for distribution.

First person to ask Why isn't it called 27x41? will undoubtedly win the thread.

Ask me anything!
