Alien actors are dying in the same order of their characters

Spoiler alert...but the movie came out 35+ years ago, so not sure it applies. Rewatching the movie and the first character that was killed was Kane, played by John Hurt, who passed away in January. The second character that was killed was Brett, played by Harry Dean Stanton, who just passed away. The third character killed was Dallas, played by Tom Skerrit...
