Bone Tomahawk (2015) a solid recommendation.

I finally got around to watching Bone Tomahawk last night and i have to say i was deeply impressed. From what i've read the movie seems to have flown under the radar and wasn't blessed with great box office success. This is a shame because i believe this movie will (and to a degree has) become a cult classic.

For anyone unfamiliar with the premise its a western very much in the style of Cormac Mccarthy. If you enjoyed his works such as "No Country for Old Men" or "Blood Meridian" i would strongly recommend Bone Tomahawk. Without giving too much away (from Google):

"In the Old West, a sheriff, his deputy, a gunslinger, and a cowboy embark on a mission to rescue three people from a savage group of cave dwellers."

The movie was shot on a budget of roughly 2 million dollars and made in just 21 days. Despite this it has an excellent cast including Kurt Russell and Patrick Wilson. The use of a sound and general cinematography creates a gripping atmosphere and combined with some powerful performances had me completely engaged.

I've deliberately not linked to the trailer as i feel it gives away too much of the story. However...this movie is not for the faint of heart. You have been warned!
