Don't know about you, but I must say, Blade Runner 2049 was my favorite movie of last year
To begin, I'm a huge Blade Runner and Ridley Scott fan, and a recent Denis Villeneuve fan. He's fantastic. But when I heard a Blade Runner sequel was being planned and Ridley Scott wasn't helming, I nearly shit myself. Not only did I think that the original (Final Cut) was perfect, but how could you expand on it? I was ready to write it off completely. Was I ever fucking wrong. From the casting to the writing to the set and prop design; from the visual effects to the sound (the fucking SOUND), it was perfect. It was the sequel I never thought I wanted. . . . . Star Wars was aight.
Edit: I just learned that a lot of the fly through scenes of LA we're miniatures done by WETA. We didn't deserve this movie...
