What movie took a second viewing for you to understand/enjoy?

A lot of movies don't hold up on second viewing, once you know the twist or have grown up a little bit, but sometimes you need to take in a movie more than once — sometimes, years after seeing it the first time — to fully appreciate.

For me, I don't think I fully understood the power of "Philadelphia" when I saw it as a kid. I'm from a liberal state, and by the late 90s, it even seemed a little cheesy. But reading this interview with Jonathan Demme made me realize how groundbreaking it was (and how careful they had to be, and how sad it is that they couldn't be more activist and show more): https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/features/the-rolling-stone-interview-jonathan-demme-19940324
