Is the Zac Efron as Ted Bundy movie ever going to come out?

Movie title is “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile”. I believe that filming was wrapped up a few months ago but there hasn’t been any news on a release date. How does the process work from here? It needs to be bought before it’s released, right? Is that likely at this point, given how much time has passed? If that doesn’t happen, is it possible it will get released in a straight-to-Blu-ray fashion or something like that?

I haven’t been this excited for a movie in a long, long time. Please give me some reassurance: I feel like it’s never going to happen.
