The ending to the movie Casino was one of the scariest things I have ever when I was a kid

Born in 87, I grew up watching TV... A lot of TV, my parents didn't want me watching rated R movies but I always found a way. Even with movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th, Childs Play, it didn't really set into my head like the ending of Casino...

MY dad and I watched it when I was young, the ending when Nicky and his brother Domanic meet some wise guys in a corn maze and you know, they get whacked. It was so scary to me because unlike killer dolls and boogeyman, this was about regular guys made me realize people get killed like this. The moment Joe pesci started crying, I knew he was going to die. Being beaten in your face with a baseball bat and your clothes ripped off being buried in the ground was so fucking scary to me. Now when I was a kid that was the darkest thing I'd ever seen. Scared because that could actually happen to someone unlike cheesy horror movies.

What was a movie that scared you or gave you a realization. An epiphany?
