What happened with Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

He was in a lot of stuff between 2009-2014. And worked with a lot of promising directors with a beautiful variety of films. Indies to blockbusters. It's interesting because JGL took supporting roles in big blockbusters which is interesting to me and worked in his career. He was lining up to be one of the most promising young actors of our generation, and it was about time he'd headline a huge studio tentpole but all of a sudden, he stopped acting. Mind you, Snowden wasn't too long ago but that film was delayed and two years in post.... so it would be 5-6 years he hasn't been in a movie!

It's a shame because he's a really charming actor. To be honest, I could have seen him in the Ryan Gosling role in La La Land.
