Just a thought about Charlie’s Angels and similar films

If you’re rebooting a property based on a team of private investigators, maybe don’t make it all about saving the world.

A Charlie’s Angels reboot should be an origin story and a single small-scale case (preferably one from the original series).

They’re not superheroes. They’re a meter maid, an office drone, and a crossing guard in the LAPD who leave those jobs because of the way they’re treated.

That’s it.

Then, you can raise the stakes in the sequels.

This isn’t rocket science.

Even The Fast and The Furious started out on a pretty small scale. When did Hollywood forget how to franchise?
