Muppets Princess Bride

Hear me out. First things first, I love the Princess Bride. Own the book, audiobook, VHS, 3 copies on DVD, and 2 on Blu-Ray. What would make me say such near heresy then? It stems from discussion I had with someone about how Muppets Christmas Carol is best Christmas movie because takes a classic story and add Muppets. Then the idea popped in my head of could you make any movie better with Muppets. So I arrived at Muppets Princess Bride. Read my casting choices and then we shall fight to the pain.

Westley/Dread Pirate Roberts - easy one, Kermit

Buttercup - again easy with Miss Piggy

Inigo Montoya - Gonzo

Fezzik - Sweetums

Vizzini - Rizzo the Rat

Prince Humperdink - Link Hogthrob (captain from Pigs in Space sketch)

Miracle Max/Valerie - Waldorf and Statler

Albino Monk - cheated here and split him into two characters, Bunsen and Beaker. Pit of Despair is now a lab. Imagine Sweetums hitting Beaker on his head.

Grandpa - Fozzy

Grandson - Robin the Frog (or just have Fred Savage)

The Impressive Clergyman - The Swedish Chef

Old Hag from dream who screams Boo! - Animal

The King - Sam Eagle

ROUS - Those would be Rowlfs of Unusual Size

The one role I can't settle on is Count Rugen, Tyrone. Closest I've gotten is either Pepe the Prawn or Uncle Deadly. At any rate in this version he doesn't kill Inigo's father, he simply steals Camilla the Chicken.

Take one moment before you downvote this into oblivion and play out certain scenes in your head with this new cast. See Kermit and Gonzo doing the swordfight. Listen to Statler and Waldorf yelling about the Prince Humperdink, or Animal yelling at Piggy about leaving Kermit in the Fire Swamp.
