Anyone else hate horror movies with large range of volume?

Say you're watching a horror movie at 10, because the introduction is generally average and consistent, previews, intro credits ect., Movie starts and you'll have to raise to 20 because the dialogue is incredibly low. Jumpscare begins with a sound that seemingly burst your eardrums, disrupts the integrity of your home, causes mass ejaculation of the continental United States. Rant, but it's not so much scary as it is just annoying, this is more prevalent in late 2000's film such as 28 weeks later, possibly due to lower levels of sound design.

Anyone else feel this way? Also what other movies rip through your speakers like a pregnant banshee stubbing her toe?
